Return/Exchange Policy

Your wedding gown is such an important dress. Let us make purchasing it stress free. Because we want a wedding gown to fit your shape just right, most gowns will need a little alteration or tweaking. Most of our gowns have seam allowances of around 2-3 inches. We also have lace and fabrics, if you want to customize your gown, in other ways. A quick phone call to us, allows Margene’s to help to feel more empowered on what can and cannot be done, to get the fit you want.

There are no returns on dresses sold in our stores. Only internet orders or phone orders for customers who have not visited our stores according to our policy will be accepted and credited. Once the gown has been ordered, the order cannot be cancelled. If the dress or items have been tried on in the store, we cannot accept cancellations or returns.

Exchanges

If you are exchanging a gown, call as soon as possible. There are no exchanges on special order gowns.

Please call 208.522.0162. You will be given a return authorization, which must be written on the outside of your box. Ship dress prepaid and insured to the return address.

Only standard shipping will apply for the new gown. Original shipping is not refunded. Time frame for the new item may have a different delivery date.

You have 2 business days from the time you received the item to postmark the item back to us. The item must be not be worn, altered or damaged, with tags attached. We will not be able to process any exchanges that are postmarked after this 2 business day period.

Returns

Please note that a 10% restocking fee applies to returned items not being exchanged. There are no returns on special order gowns. Shipping is not refunded.

Measurements

Please have measurements taken by a professional or seamstress. Bust, waist and hip measurements are essential for us to help you get the best fit, with the least amount of alterations. Bra sizes are not consistent with a bust measurement. Gowns can be made off of different size charts, even from one factory, making it impossible to guess or assume your size. As a general rule, formal wear runs small. Mall dresses can be far different in sizing, since many of those items offer no inner construction and are made of stretch materials. We are happy to help with this decision. Measurements must be included, or return is not valid. Occasionally customers decide to choose a size different from our recommendation, larger or smaller. If this is the case it negates a return or exchange.

Alterations

Alterations are not included in the price of the gown.

Crediting Account

Once we receive a dress back, please allow for 3-4 business days to see the refund on your credit card statement.

Business Day

Standard business days are Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays.
