Alterations

The best kept secret in looking fabulous is an amazing seamstress. We are so fortunate to be able to recommend qualified and amazing seamstresses.

Here are the things to keep in mind with alterations

1. All of the seamstresses we recommend are independent from Margene’s. This allows them the flexibility to set their own schedules and prices. You should be told a price at the end of your first fitting. Keep in mind fabric costs and customizations may be additional if they are still to be purchased.

2. Margene’s is your dress advocate! Because we do not profit from your alterations we want to save you money! We will always try to get the size that requires the least amount of alterations!

3. Having an extensive list of alteration specialists allows us to help guide you the the seamstress that will work best with your dress. Considerations will be taken for budget, timeframe, location and work being done. This is just our suggestion and you are welcome to use anyone you choose.

4. Seamstresses have likes and dislikes too! If your seamstress tells you it can’t be done occasionally that means they can’t or don’t want to do it. Be proactive about what you want and if they aren’t a good fit call us for another recommendation.
